John Gatt K9 Services

By engaging the services of John Gatt K9 Services (“we”, “us”, “our”), you (“the owner”, “client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

John Gatt K9 Services provides professional dog training, behaviour rehabilitation, board & train, home visits, and pet minding services. All services are provided based on experience and best practice, with the safety of dogs, owners, and the public as a priority.

2. Pricing & Payment

Prices are provided on a case-by-case basis and may vary depending on the service.
Course-based training must be paid upfront before commencement.
Regular training sessions are payable after the session unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted payment methods include cash and bank transfer.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension or refusal of future services.

3. Cancellations & Changes

Clients may cancel or reschedule sessions without penalty.
While no cancellation fees apply, we request reasonable notice where possible.
John Gatt K9 Services reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to safety concerns, weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstances.

4. Dog Behaviour & Risk Acknowledgement

Dogs are animals and may behave unpredictably, including biting, escaping, or causing injury or damage.
The owner acknowledges and accepts all risks associated with dog training, behaviour work, boarding, and minding.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services for any dog that poses a safety risk to people, other animals, or property.

5. Health, Injury & Veterinary Care

Dogs are not required to be vaccinated unless otherwise agreed.
The owner confirms their dog is fit for training, boarding, or minding.
In the event of illness or injury, John Gatt K9 Services (or an appointed carer/dog minder) may seek emergency veterinary care if deemed necessary.
All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner.
Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the owner in an emergency.

6. Board & Train / Pet Minding

No fixed maximum stay length applies unless agreed in advance.
Owners are responsible for arranging timely collection of their dog.
While some dogs may experience temporary adjustment or stress when away from home, every effort is made to provide a calm, structured, and positive environment during boarding or pet minding..

7. Training Results & Guarantees

No guarantees are made regarding specific training outcomes.
Results depend on many factors including dog temperament, history, consistency, and owner involvement.
Ongoing success requires continued training and reinforcement by the owner.

8. Photos & Media

John Gatt K9 Services may take photos or videos of dogs during training, boarding, or minding.
These may be used for marketing purposes (website, social media).
Owners may request opt-out of media use at any time.

9. Liability & Indemnity

John Gatt K9 Services is not liable for injury, illness, escape, loss, or damage caused by a dog, except where required by law.
The owner accepts full responsibility for their dog’s behaviour and actions.
The owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless John Gatt K9 Services against any claims, damages, or costs arising from their dog.

10. Ownership & Authority

The client confirms they are the legal owner or authorized carer of the dog.
There is no minimum age requirement to engage services, however the person booking accepts responsibility for the agreement.
